Music, international cuisine, locally produced wines and family fun await participants in the third annual Taste the World in Fenton Village on Sunday, June 2 from 1 to 5 p.m. Fenton Village is located just south of downtown Silver Spring between Wayne, Georgia and Burlington avenues and Fenton Street.

Taste the World welcomes event-goers to visit 26 Fenton Village restaurants and sample not just their food but their special atmosphere. Event attendees may pick up their Taste the World "passports" at Parking Lot 3 on Fenton Street between Thayer and Silver Spring avenues beginning at 1 p.m. "Balloons will mark what restaurants and businesses are open," says Jessica Fusillo, co-chair of the Commercial Economic Development Committee for the Silver Spring Citizens Advisory Board. "We will have ambassadors and volunteers guiding people through Fenton Village, so it will be a lively and fun time."

A raffle will be held around 5:30 p.m. in Parking Lot 3. Anyone who has tasting stamps from at least three different restaurants could win prizes. The top prize will be a "Weekend for 2 in Silver Spring" with hotel accommodations, dining and entertainment provided.
